The IOTAS hub is what syncs your home's smart devices to the IOTAS app. To do so, it needs a constant power and internet connection. If our app is displaying a red "Hub Offline" message, your hub is most likely disconnected from power or the internet.
Here's how to make sure your IOTAS hub has the power and internet connection it needs:
- Locate your IOTAS hub.
- Your hub should be in your unit's communication box or on a counter.
- What color is the front light?
- No light: Check to make sure the hub is plugged into a power outlet.
- Purple or red: Please unplug the hub from the power outlet for one minute and then plug it in again.
- Blue or green: So far, so good! A blue or green light indicates that your hub successfully booted up.
- Is the green light above the ethernet port on the back of the hub flickering/blinking?
- No: Make sure that your internet connection is working and that your hub's ethernet cable is connected to an active internet router.
- Please try plugging the hub's ethernet cord into a different port on the back of your router. If your hub's back lights still aren't blinking, unplug the hub from the power outlet for one minute and then plug it in again.
- Yes: Things look good! If the front light is blue or green and the back light is blinking, your IOTAS hub should be online.
- No: Make sure that your internet connection is working and that your hub's ethernet cable is connected to an active internet router.
